Safety & Security

Without doubt Thailand in general, & Pattaya in particular, is one of the safest holiday destinations to visit or to live, anywhere in the world and we include North America & Europe in this analysis. However, the odds can always be improved, and we offer the following general recommendations to help ensure you have an enjoyable stay in Pattaya:

Common sense prevails always!

Keep in mind that you have already chosen the safest locale in Pattaya, that being in an area between Beach & Second Rd, and from South Pattaya to the Dusit Tani roundabout. In this area you can feel free to enjoy Pattaya's Legendary Nightlife to its fullest.

Even so, valuables and signs of affluence should not be openly flaunted, and we suggest you only carry enough cash as needed for that particular night.

Beware of new found friends suggesting that you should accompany them back to their house or business premises, especially at night. Con-men (girls) and suspect drinks while not being common, once is enough!

Make sure you deposit any cash, jewelry, Credit Cards & Travel Documents in a Safe Deposit Box (at Reception). For additional security a padlock should be purchased at Reception. Larger items may be deposited with Management for safe keeping.

We do advise use of caution before donating or lending money. But if it makes you happy OK

We suggest that you do not keep valuables in your room, and take being the area particular care with your Safe Box keys.

Should you so wish, Reception are happy to register any guests you desire to stay - especially those without a known place of employment!

It is not advisable to leave guests unattended in your room - remember you are responsible for them. Inform Reception if your guest is to receive your room key in your absence.

Be sure to use the bolt & locks on your door while staying in your room.

You should drink only bottled water, tap water being only suitable for bathing & washing

Avoid excesses in public as this can draw unwanted attention.

Drive carefully! Thais officially drive on the left, but sometimes on both sides! Avoid accidents and all costs!.

Bear in mind always that the Thais a very tolerant & fun-loving people - even more so than back home! Remember this, with a little respect and common sense, you should have the holiday of a lifetime.!

Where else can you enjoy such an exciting, varied & safe vacation for so little money???
