'Penthouse Comes to The Penthouse Again!'

June last year we reported that it was panic stations at the Penthouse Hotel as staff and Hue Hefner (I mean Dadley) await the arrival of Thailand's Penthouse Magazine Crew. Well, the latest edition of Penthouse Magazine has now hit the news stands and includes the results of last years shoot. Room looks great as does the Super Model. Make sure you get your copy! First person to guess the name of the room wins a bottle of bubbly in Kittens the next time you are in town. Two bottles if you can guess the middle name of the Super Model!!!

Last week the Penthouse Magazine Crew returned. This time not with one Super Model but 2, Jan and Tan. Usual panic stations prior to their arrival but everything in place on time and red carpet laid out.

Jan, from Bangkok looked stunning in figure hugging jeans and white blouse, quite sumptuous. All the male staff here were most impressed.

Tan, from Udon, lived up to her name with a delicious honey brown complexion, mini skirt, delectable long legs, white breast hugging T-Shirt and sexy black ankle boots.

After a few pictures in reception Jan, Tan and the rest of the Penthouse Crews (hotel and magazine) made their way up to the designated Penthouse Boutique Theme Room selected for today's shoot. Again only the chosen few entered and again my pass did not allow me to enter. Just like you guys I will have to wait for the magazine to hit the streets, probably December.

Back down stairs the girls posed for more shots in the Penthouse Spa Pool (the most exotic pool in Asia) and then, after drying off each other, they popped into Kitten Club and shared cocktails with some Kittens and Champagne with Karl Heinz from Germany. Karl was the winner of our Kitten Queen 2003 competition and just happened to be in town. Lucky Karl!!!

One sad note to report. Jan or Tan broke the Long Jacuzzi Tap. We are not sure how this happened but, if you have any ideas, send them to me. The most original will be published in the next news letter and qualify you a bottle of champers.

Pattaya Weather Update

April 2004 was one of the hottest months since records started. Most days the steamy temperatures reached 40 and more. Perfect if you are a sun lover and enjoy the beach life. For those not into steamy heat then Kitten Club always offers the perfect escape. The Kittens are guaranteed to cool you down and make you hot at the same time. It looks as if the rainy season has come early this year. The usual early morning and early evening showers seem to have made their arrival. Yesterday evening Pattaya Klang (central), the road up by Foodland resembled a small river for a few hours. Didn't knock the smiles of the locals faces. They just carried on as usual, drenched and smiling. So, right now it is hot and wet. Not wet all day. Just in the early morning and early evening, you can set your watch by the downpours. The sun always makes an appearance during the day time and, if you want a sun tan you can get one. Rainey season usually ends in September. After that we have the hot season until December followed by the hot and hot steamy season.

Penthouse Hotel Update

We are now in low season so keep checking the website, www.penthousehotel.com for all kinds of 'Special Low Season' offers. One small drawback from that is that the Navy are in town. They are parked up in Sattahip (40 minutes from Pattaya). It is Cobra Gold time again and will last until the end of May. Being parked up in Sattahip means that the numbers around town are less than usual so, if you are arriving soon, don't worry.

Penthouse Hotel, Great Rooms, Great Prices - What else comes close?!!

New Reception Feature - New trainee receptionist. Her name is Miaw. She is 23 years old from Roiet. She likes the beach, Bacardi Breezers and Brad Pitt. Birthday 22nd March. Check her out!!!

Old Penthouse House Friend Returns

Barry from Kent England made a welcome return to Pattaya during the Songkran Festival. Barry, a former Pattaya resident for many years, returned with his beautiful wife Lak and daughters Kelly (born in Thailand) 7 years old and Aimie (born in England) 2 years old. Barry used to be the master with the feather duster. For some reason and, after a few Mekong Cokes he thought this object was a guitar and he would strum along to whatever sound was blasting out (yes even 'I wanna know if you ever saw the rain). Sadly, this time he wouldn't perform. Anyway we were all please to see Barry again. Dudley laid on Champagne in Kitten Club and a good time was had by all. Come back again soon Barry, life is full of surprises, hope you enjoyed yours !!!

Room 220 - PH Latest Unique Theme Room

The latest Penthouse Hotel room to be added to the already varied and special selection of 'Boutique Suites' is room 220, also known as Penthouse Party 3.

Very popular. A good place to chill out day and night and watch what is going on below. To the right is the separate Marble Tiled Bathroom & Toilet with Multi Shower Wash Basin and Mirrors, Chrome & Gold Fittings, Shower Curtain for the shy.

Sleeping Area: King Size Marble Bed with 8 inch Mattress, Mirrors, 2 Full Size Remote Control TVs With Cable, DVD/CD Player & Sound System, Massage Swing!!! (With Instructions), Disco & Mood Lighting, Mini Bar etc. etc.

Dressing Area: Full Length Dressing Marble Table, Full Length & Full Size Dressing Mirror.

Whirlpool Area: Raised, Large Whirlpool/Jacuzzi Tub, Mirrored Wall & Ceiling, Bubble Glass Window With Blinds Overlooking the Outside Balcony, Mini Bar, Full Size Remote Control Cable TV, Shower Hammock with Massage Jets, Chrome Gold Towel Holders, Large Chrome Gold Champagne Bucket, Disco Dance Podium with Shower Attachment and Lighting - nothing like it.

The room is tastefully decorated throughout, with security in mind & has remote controlled air conditioning, fans and telephones etc.

One thing missing from the room is a Safe. This has been considered but rejected as it could be a safety risk for guests. The reason? if you were to invite a guest(s) to your room (god forbid) they might decide they would like to inspect the contents of the safe & this could lead to problems.... Safe Deposit boxes are located in reception & controlled for your safety.

The room is made up twice a day or more (24 hour maid service), abundant towels, 24 hour room service and 24 hour restaurant. Live television link to Kitten Nite Club.

For potential first time visitors to Pattaya we hope this room 220 walk through will give you a clearer understanding of one of the many unique Penthouse Hotel 'Theme Rooms'.

Kitten Club

The Kitten Club continues to just get 'Better and Better'. Room has been found for another pool table reducing waiting time. Room has been found but, not a the expense of removing any Kitten Poles, Kitten Cages or the Kitty Carousal. They are all still there with the 100 +, increasing beautiful, increasingly sexy, increasingly encourageable Kitten Hostesses. The club is being extended. The area in front of the pool that used to be open with two pool tables. This is now enclosed and work has commenced to construct dance stages with Kitten Poles, Kitten Cages and blowers. Thailand News

Last week the Bangkok Post reported that a government representative was thinking about putting forward a bill to ban the sell of alcohol on Sundays. Reason being to reduce the amount of road traffic accidents. We are all for the reduction of road traffic accidents. However, in many other countries, such as Japan, there are far more vehicles on the road per person and about 90% less accidents. Maybe proper driving tuition is the answer with driving tests, where you actually drive a car. Kitten Club will continue to stay open on Sundays until further notice!!!

Closing Times have been in the news a lot recently. There was a move for the bars to close at midnight. This has not happened yet and we don't think it will. But, gone are the days where you could openly drink all night as 2.00 am most places close (if you are really determined there are still ways).

Prime Minister is buying Liverpool, this is all over the TV and Newspapers. Where is the money coming from? Some reports say it is Government money for the Thai People. Chelsea do not have to worry as we are not talking about billions. This could be good for Thai soccer as Liverpool soccer academies may open all over Thailand. Minter will be signing up if one opens in Pattaya. Not for me but Miner Junior who is 6 and showing a few signs that he knows where the goalposts are. Oh, just one more thing Prime Minister. Liverpool will never win the Champions League or Premier League with Heskey in the team. I know he is work horse and takes the pressure of Own but, another 15 to 20 goal a season striker is required.

Latest news is the deal has still not gone through. In Thailand the word on the street is if the deal does go through then there will be a special lottery and the lucky winners will win Liverpool shares

Late, Late new - Heskey signs for Birmingham. Look for a Premiership improvement from Liverpool next season. Birmingham have just had a great season. We will have to wait and see if Heskey can improve them.

Pattaya - Hollywood Disco Nightclub Blaze - Last Saturday Hollywood was hot, really hot as nearly 800 customers were sent scurrying from the disco inferno. Fatalities included 18 motor bikes, damage estimated at 2M Baht. Cause still being investigated. Luckily no one was injured.

Local Pattaya English Language Newspaper the Pattaya Mail recently celebrated its 10th year anniversary. Still going strong with the same old format. Front page is always different but, inside you are guaranteed this ... A gang of Motor Cycle Thieves.... Ya Baa Dealer... Fatal Road Traffic Accident.... Fatal Shooting in.... Falang Jumps from Hotel Balcony.... Letters page, Usually Whinging Falangs (in my country we did it this way)... Sport, If you are getting on a bit and not had your 15 minutes of fame yet then play some golf or lawn bowling and you will get a mention... But, we are proud to support the Pattaya Mail as are proved by our front page advertisement and the fact that we were one the first advertisers in the paper and the first distribution point.

Naked German takes midnight dip. A rare sight spotted last Saturday night in Soi (Street) 8 (rare even for Pattaya). Just before midnight a naked German man emerged from the Sunshine Beach Hotel. He walked down the Soi crossed the Beach Road and went for s swim. Anybody who does not know Soi 8 it is one of the busiest night spots in Pattaya with around 50 bars and some Go Go Bars. At this time of night it is packed with tourists and locals out for a good time, including me on this particular occasion. After a quick dip the German reappeared and made is way back up Soi eight. By this time local TV cameras had turned up and filmed the whole thing. He made it back to the Hotel without any police showing up. At the moment we don't know why he did this. Local press will probably be investigating and we will let you know the outcome.

Unrest in the South. When you think about Thailand you think about Buddhism. However, in the South of Thailand this is not the case. Towns such as Pattani, Yala & Narathiwat are predominantly Muslim. A couple of weeks ago there was a major incident which resulted in a number of deaths. Now there are many soldiers on patrol. The situation has calmed down and talks will soon begin to find out the root cause of the problem. Pattaya is a long way from the South of Thailand and we have not noticed any changes here.

Carry on Swimming, Over 4,000 beaches in Thailand have just been surveyed by a team from Chulalongkorn University. Of these beaches 10 have been put on an endangered beach watchlist. However, Pattaya Beach is not one of these nor the nearby Jomtien Beach. Carry on using and enjoying the local beaches.

Guest Joke of the Month

Laid up in one of the local hospitals regular Penthouse guest Stan from Nottingham, England asked the nurse beside his bed to give him a kiss. "No" replies the nurse "I certainly will not". "Go on" pleads Stan "just one kiss". "No" insists the nurse, "I've told you already I won't" "Don't be such a spoil sport" says Stan "just one kiss!". "I've already told you, no" replies the nurse, absolultely adamant, "I shouldn't even be giving you this hand job!"

Send us your Joke – Inclusion in the news letter & Champers will be waiting for you.

Dear Penthouse Team,

For many years I have been spending my vacations in Pattaya and passed your hotel many times. I have never stayed there before as I always imagined the location would mean that it would be very noisy and that sleeping would be a problem. My visit before last I met a guy called Jeff from the states and he talked very highly about your hotel. So, this time I decided to give it a try and I am so pleased that I did. I used the Limo service that you provide from the airport. A very smooth operation which meant I arrived at the hotel very relaxed and I stayed this way for the 10 nights I was there, very relaxed. My suite was perfect, I think it was called a Penthouse Party 2. The 24 hour maid service meant that I didn't have to worry a out what time I woke up. The room was cleaned when I wanted it cleaned. The 24 hour room service was also very handy. Unlike other hotels I have stayed in before I could eat when I wanted to and not have to worry about eating for the sake of it. By that I mean eating when not hungry as the room service was due to finish. I used the hotel swimming pool every day and some nights. I have never seen a pool like this before and I can well imagine why this is so popular for private parties. Every night I spent some time in Kittens. In fact the best times I had were with the Kitten girls. The girls in reception, Nit, Porn and Miaw were also very helpful and friendly. I took me a long time to find the Penthouse. I am glad I did and I will recommend your establishment to all my friends. My sleeping was never disturbed.

Thank you

Roy

Thanks Roy. Don't forget to tell all your friends and have a drink on us in Kittens the next time you are here. Proof that you can get a good nights sllep at the Penthouse... Most of the rooms are double glazed - so less noise.

If you have a comment that you would like to share about The Penthouse or Kittens send an e-mail. Inclusion in the News Letter and you can have a drink on us in Kittens as well.

Living & Property in Pattaya

On a regular basis we are asked about buying property in Thailand and, as much as we will always want you to stay with us, we realize that Thailand does have investment potential. Also, if you are thinking of moving to Thailand to live, living here can also be very good as long as you quickly learn the rules. This is not so easy as you can't buy a book of rules. You learn by experience, common sense and, sometimes, you can get good advise from expats. We say sometimes as not all expats will have your best interests at heart.

Collectively we have expats with about 30 years experience of living and working in Thailand, Pattaya, Jomtien and Bangkok. If you have a question or you would like some advise we will try to help.

We have just helped Nick from London to buy some land. After two deals falling through at the last minute Nick was starting to get a bit disillusioned with the whole thing. We heard about somel and in Bang Saray, this is just passed Pattaya on the way to Sattahip. We told Nick, he has worked out a deal and plans to use some of the land to build a house for his family and the rest he hopes split up into plots for other ex pats to build their own houses. Nick's vision is to build a village with Swimming Pool and Club House. Anybody interested in knowing more about Nick's project just send us an e-mail.

Anybody thinking about moving to Thailand some when in the future might want to consider making an investment now and receiving an income from the every increasing luxury quality home rental market. Forty minutes from Pattaya are two very large industrial estates. The Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate (also known as Detroit of the East) and Amata City. Several Multi National Companies have been established here for quite some time and more are arriving. Already well established are Ford Mazda (known here as AAT - Auto Alliance Thailand), BMW, General Motors, Allegiance, TRW, Emerson Electric and SIG Combibloc to name but a few. For more details check out the following web sites:

www.hemaraj.com/financial-f.htm

www.amata.com/estate/city_cuslist.aspx

All the companies on the estates employ ex-pats on one, two or three year assignments and their rental budgets range from US$ 2,000 to US$ 4,000 per month.

Making your investment now might mean that it has paid for itself, and more, by the time you are ready to move here...

Negotiating Tip

Always remember that you are the buyer and you will have bidders (owners or agents) who want you to buy their property. Make sure that you have at least 3 bidders on your bid list. That could be three different properties, in which case you can select the property that is closest to your actual requirement or, if you have your heart set on one property and are using an agent, try and find 2 other agents selling the same property. Consider all 3 bids and then select the one that suits you best. Cost is a major consideration, all 3 agents could be offering different prices, but also look out for what kinds of After Sales Services are available.

Ex Pat Clubs

Ex-Pat Clubs seem to be springing up all over the place. The clubs meet on a regular basis and have guest speakers advising local ex-pats on important matters. Once such club is the Pattaya Ex-Pat Club who meet every Saturday morning at the Green Tree Restaurant. Everyone is welcome at this club. There are also clubs for ex-pats from different countries such as Germany, England, Norway and recently the Pattaya Dutch Club was formed. This club meets in Jomtien once a month. There are also many other types of clubs, Ladies Clubs, Vegetarian Clubs, Lawn Bowling and a variety of other Sports Clubs. If you are thinking about moving here then, if you want to, you should be able to find a club that suits you. Don't forget we also have Kitten Club...
